Mumbai’s Tibetan Tourists

Thousands of Tibetan Sand Plovers return each year to the wetlands of Navi Mumbai.

Tibetan Sand Plovers are beautiful little migratory shorebirds that return to our city’s wetlands each year. Their presence in the thousands, alongside other bird species, is living proof of the ecological importance of Navi Mumbai’s wetlands.
